Honouring the memory of a loved one through a donation to CHAI is a lasting way to celebrate their life while helping people across Edinburgh facing hardship.
In memory of a loved one
Please accept our sincere condolences for your loss.
If you or someone close to you has been helped by CHAI, or if the issues we support people with are close to your heart, you may wish to donate in memory of someone special. Many people choose to request donations instead of flowers at a funeral or create an online tribute page to celebrate the life of a loved one.
There are several ways you can do this.
At the funeral
Your funeral director should be able to provide a collection box for the service. We can also provide CHAI leaflets so that guests can learn more about the work their donations will support.
You can choose to:
- Count the donations and deliver them to the CHAI office at 28 Westfield Avenue, Edinburgh EH11 2QH (Monday to Friday, 9.30am–4.30pm).
- Ask your funeral director to count and transfer the donations on your behalf, funeral directors often offer this service.
Online options
Or you could simply create an online tribute page through MuchLoved . Simply click “Create a Tribute”, complete your loved one’s details and, if you wish, add a photograph. You can then choose to raise funds for charity and select CHAI. You may also include funeral details and directions if appropriate.

Alternatively, you can create a fundraising page through JustGiving. If you do not already have an account, setting one up only takes a few minutes. JustGiving should notify us when your page is created, but we would also appreciate it if you could let us know by emailing our Fundraising & Development Manager, emma.vickerstaff@chaiedinburgh.org.uk
